The Mobile Community Resource Center (CRC) is helping people move FORWARD with free resources and services that promote long-term employment and self-sufficiency.

Mobile Community Resource Center

Goodwill’s Mobile CRC collaborates with community partners providing food distribution, VITA (tax preparation), and employment assistance through hiring events.

  • The versatile bus has six computer stations that provide employment opportunities and other wrap-around services to areas of need in the community.
  • The Mobile Unit was acquired through Collier Cares and the American Cares Act.
  • It serves the five county areas of Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee.
  • The Mobile CRC provides the same services as our Community Resource Centers, only it’s on wheels!

GIVE is Goodwill’s employee support and development program, designed to help team members overcome challenges and grow in their careers. Our Program Coordinator offers personalized, wrap-around support to address barriers like transportation, housing, family responsibilities, and financial stress.

  • Career coaching for advancement

GIVE empowers employees to succeed — at work and beyond.

Our digital skills courses are free and include everything from basic to advanced computer training, Internet navigation, social media, word processing, spreadsheet software, and even typing courses.

Goodwill also offers entry-level training and certification opportunities to Southwest Florida job seekers in the following areas: English As A Second Language (ESL) and Home Healthcare

Lehigh Acres Community Resource Center

Margarita Florencio came to the Lehigh Acres Goodwill Community Resource Center (CRC) looking for assistance with FEMA and ACCESS applications. She also needed a job. The coordinators helped her with her applications, and also assisted her with acquiring employment at the Goodwill retail store in Lehigh. Through a referral by the Lehigh Acres CRC staff, Margarita was hired as a part-time processor. Through her dedication and exemplary work ethic, she swiftly earned a promotion to a full-time position within a year. Simultaneously, she actively participated in our Citizenship class, showcasing her commitment to personal and professional development. On March 28th, she graciously shared her naturalization certificate with us, marking a significant milestone – one step closer to reaching her goals.
