The Future of Goodwill Southwest Florida
For more than 120 years, Goodwill has fought poverty through opportunity, not charity. Since 1902, its social enterprise model has transformed donated goods into jobs and economic independence for millions. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida has upheld this mission for 57 years, serving over 25,000 individuals annually.
John Nadeau – President & CEO
“As we embark on this next chapter, we remain committed to providing independence and success for those with disabilities and disadvantages. With your financial support, our new home will become a reality.”
As our community grows, so does the demand for services. To meet these needs, we are building a new headquarters at I-75 and Martin Luther King Blvd. This centrally located facility will enhance accessibility and house:
- Pathways to Opportunity: An expanded Adult Day Training program for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, along with a disability navigation office to connect families with essential state resources.
- Community Resource Center: Offering no-cost employment services, skills training, and digital literacy programs to help individuals find or advance in jobs.
- Community Hub: Consolidating departments under one roof for greater efficiency and cost savings, ensuring more funds support our missions.
- Accessible Emergency Shelter: The first shelter in Southwest Florida focused on providing a safe place for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to shelter in times of declared disaster.
- Disaster Response & Recovery Center: A hurricane-hardened center ensuring emergency response capabilities in partnership with United Way, Red Cross and local agencies.
Why Goodwill?
