Youth Services

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida takes a proactive approach to employment by providing vocational services, mentoring, and career exploration to at-risk middle and high school students.

These services are provided through the Florida High School/High Tech program, as well as the Goodwill L.I.F.E. Academy Charter School,
and GoodGuides Youth Mentoring Program.

Florida High School - High Tech Program
Programs are in Lee and Hendry/Glades Counties

The High School/High Tech Program provides opportunities for students
with disabilities and other at-risk students to explore potential future careers.  The program is designed to help students determine their interests and aptitudes, provide mentors, offer job-shadowing and internships,
and provide leadership opportunities.

High School/High Tech has been shown to reduce high school dropout rates and increase the overall self-esteem of participating students.

HS/HT is an initiative of the US Department of Labor and the Able Trust
