The Goodwill L.I.F.E. Academy is a tuition-free, open enrollment Lee County Charter School for students with intellectual disabilities who are entering grades six through twelve (ages 11-22).  The school's individualized programs focus on life skills, vocational training, and functional academics. Our program is uniquely designed to fulfill the educational needs of students seeking Special Diploma Options 1 or 2.  In addition to providing functional academic skills, L.I.F.E. Academy curriculum provides life skills to promote independence.

The L.I.F.E. Academy also provides a vocational training program to qualified students in conjunction with other special programs. The vocational training program is designed to successfully transition students with developmental disabilities into post-school adult living.  This career-focused program consists of vocational assessments to determine individual interests, aptitudes, and capabilities. Career exploration activities, including two-week paid internships expose the students to a variety of employment opportunities.

Our commitment: We engage every student in meaningful activities, programs and/or employment post-graduation to ensure a successful transition from school to adulthood.
